about

Remedy
Interpretation by Kay Duncan
This was written during our first Covid lockdown in 2020 when we were in desperate search of a vaccine. There grew a sense at the time, that amongst the horror and sorrow that was unfolding, we were working together in some ways. During our search for remedies from science, we were discovering new ways to live and work. Facing unemployment, isolation and burnout. Some of us found new freedom within the restrictions. The kindness of those in our community, families and Whånau became our strength.

Intro:
Hey-hey, hey-hey, hey-hey, oh hey-hey, hey

Days are long the days are slow
But everything is changing don’t you know
We’re searching for a remedy
At this point in our history, in our history

The future is a place we see
Our brothers and our sisters in harmony
Gotta work this out to get that far
Oh the here and now is where we are, is where we are

Chorus:
Live in love and kindness
Through all humanity
We can learn together
And we can surely be at peace, at peace, oh at peace

Hey-hey, hey-hey, hey-hey, oh hey-hey, hey

Treasure all that life can give
And share your energy with all that lives
We are unique that’s what we bring
And we are also part of everything, of everything

Chorus:
Live in love and kindness
Through all humanity
We can learn together
And we can surely be at peace, at peace, oh at peace

Ending: Hey-hey, hey-hey, hey-hey, oh hey-hey, hey
